WRTA Bus Stop 30-sec TV Spot

Video Production created for Western Reserve Transit Authority

The Western Reserve Transit Authority (WRTA) was established 50 years ago and provides reliable and efficient public transportation to residents of Mahoning and Trumbull Counties in Ohio. WRTA uses a variety of vehicles, routes, and services as well as state-of-the-art apps to make riding easy and convenient.

In 2016, Farris Marketing received an assignment from WRTA to research the transportation needs of residents. Taking cues from what was discovered, WRTA asked Farris to create a dynamic marketing and communication program.

Farris completely redesigned WRTA’s website and developed an extensive series of videos to help riders understand and use their services. Displays, press releases, television advertising, social media, and direct mail were used to increase ridership.

In the fall of 2017, Farris produced and managed a permanent sales tax ballot issue campaign, which was approved by nearly 60 percent of voters.

Today, Farris continues to work with WRTA to increase ridership and add value to its image as a vital part of the community.
